Does anybody know why?

Many French people on discovering the remarkable inventive nature of Gustave Trouvé, have made a connection with the Disney inventor Gyro Gearloose, known in French-speaking countries as “Géo Trouvetout”. It was in in 1953 that thanks to Hachette publishers, Disney’s character first made his appearance, but as “le Professeur S Priford” (Prix Ford), then three years later he became “Géo Trouvetout”. Had the man who changed that name known about Trouvé in his childhood?

Disney fans, over to you…!
