In September 2014, Monsieur Arnaud Bureau, a councillor for the town of Grez-Neuville in the Lionnais region of France was looking for a name for a square designated an urban development zone (Zone d’Amenagément Concerté). There is already a Renault car showroom there, selling the ZOE and the Kangoo ZE electric vehicles. M Bureau decided to name the zone “Place Gustave Trouvé” with Renault at N° 2. Together with the rue Gustave Trouvé already at his home town of La Haye-Descartes, perhaps the time is coming when there will be a college, a laboratory or even a car named after the modest inventor.
