In the 1890's, Trouvé began to work on luminous electric fountains, and before long, with his customary speed and vision, he proposed a massive coloured fountain for the 1900 Universal Expo, taller than the Eiffel Tower itself!
Once again, he was laughed at. But then they also laughed at his wearable luminous electric jewellry.....a prophet not received in his own country, but over a century ahead of his times.
